On January 11, 2017, at Cove Lake State Park, Caryville, TN, it was a rainy day. Winds started to blow in the evening with some strong gusts.  At bedtime, lying in bed, it was exhilarating hearing the wind roar and howl.

Upon awakening, Bruce said, “Well, we survived the night!” Then we unzipped the doors, stepped outside, and beheld all the broken branches and felled trees.

We’re glad we weren’t impaled in the night and that our home/tent wasn’t damaged.  It’s good to be alive!
