Great Smoky Mountain Park, Mountain Farm Museum, near Cherokee, North Carolina

We took a trip to visit an open air museum; a collection of south Appalachian farm buildings assembled from different locations in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

Log home built from chestnut wood before the chestnut blight decimated American chestnuts in our forests during the 30’s and early 40’s.
It was very tempting to write my name after reading this 🙂
