Buck Hall charges $5.00/day for parking. With Bruce’s “senior pass” (a lifetime entrance pass to U.S. national parks for those 62 and older; 50% off entrance fees) only cost $2.50. (The usual $14/overnight only costs us $7.00. But National Forests are free.)
We spent a relaxing day here – mainly to use the showers. Also, we charged our equipment (phones, Bose speaker, 7″ portable CD/DVD player, and portable chargers.)
Sitting in the shade under the pavilion, we spent the day watching the fishermen/women fishing off the pier in the Intracoastal Waterway. The sun was shining. Warm ocean breezes caused the spanish moss on trees to sway gently to and fro. I did watercoloring. Bruce cooked pork chops on the “Smoky Joe”; I made potato salad. The day ended with photographing the sunset. What could be better than spending the day listening, watching, and painting?
It is so peaceful to be near the ocean. It was a wonderful day!
