Veterans and their sons built this wall

While walking yesterday I came upon a cemetery, tucked away behind a hotel and next door to a Harley dealership.

In 1900 William Standlifer told of an abandoned cemetery on his farm with 75-100 Confederate graves. Due to the deterioration of the wooden markers and lack of records they are unknown. In the Silverdale Confederate Cemetary are buried 155 unknown Confederate soldiets from a nearby hospital.

But in visiting the cemetery I was able to take photos of emerging spring flowers on the first day of spring.
