We left Harrison Bay State Park- took about 3 hours to break camp-and arrived at beautiful Hiwassee Ocoee State Park. We will be here for the 14 days allowed by state parks and got the last sight available. The Gee Creek primitive tent campground has 47 spaces campsites.  Most people reserve for weekends only.  Easter was especially busy with many who come here for the day day to use the picnic tables, fire pits, and the really NICE playground.  It was also fun to watch kids racing to collect Easter eggs.

The park is 45 south of Chattanooga, where Bruce is doing contract work for 4 weeks.

The park was the first river managed by the State Scenic River Program.

We are nestled on two sides by hills.

The spring flowers are in bloom!!
